The past is past. Time is new as the year 2018 gives everything new in my life: the way of thinking and see the future, the spirit within of hope and dreams. Except, of course, daily routines that has reinforced along the age. Not forget to mention the language. I mean language that I use to write this blog. Indonesian is at crisis stage in its usage.
There's too much bad and negative language used by the people especially in the media social. Just check the comments. Most of them show hatred, justification and cynicism. Everyone turns to be a judge by him/herself together with his/her comments. However, the rest, the good ones, acts as the angel. The wise man and women. They keep remind the bad one to think positive with his/her attitude along their statements and comments. To me, "the artist" is not the artist him/herself or the information but people or netizens with their words.
Up to now I always doubt that the Indonesian people do ready facing and dealing technology, gadget and all of the contents of the digital information. Smartphone for students, for example, not more than Facebook, Twitter, IG, and WhatsApp, includes online game. They hardly know about information of science or anything that may support their knowledge and education which they can gain through internet. That is to say. This is the reality.
Nothing is new in this world the proverb says. Human is as the way they are. Time is just a reminder and life is merely a celebration. An advertisement. Life in a day is determined by trending topic. As if that people have their title for each of their day. An instant life without process. What do people want to be in their life if they eliminates the process? While we know that whatever the gadgets are, all of them is merely a tools. The prime goal, however, is the human itself. A good human that have quality in life. Now, the question is,: How to be a good human if the human recognize the product of the culture better than the human itself? Do the people of this millennium controlled by technology, by tool, gadgets, and so on? What a hideous!
In this early 2018 when the global facing extreme weather all around the world, here in Indonesia, we have to deal with the boisterousness of election preparation of province leader. Politics and stuff. People don't really concern about heavy rain drowning Jakarta, or Gunung Agung eruption, or earthquake in Tasikmalaya, or even less low temperatures in US which contrast to Asutralia, mudslide in California. Do we have to ignore all of them? Ignore the power of nature? Nature's law but people still busy to keep thinking themselves. Who are we to have such power to cope nature's acts?
Indonesian Nation Board for Disaster Management (BNPB) predicts that 2000 disaster will happen along 2018. What does it mean and does it really even matter? What can we really do about it? This is to say, environment disaster for most of people here is considered as advertisement only. The achievement of throne still be "the artist" of the information, of people's chit-chat in all social media and life. The year 2018 and 2019 maybe the long two episode of Indonesia trending topic of politics since in this both year people have to deal with regional election and presidential one. And, how about the nature? How about the possibility of environment disaster? Don't be such bother. We deals all of them likely as breakfast in the morning. So, don't think too much about it because we maybe already dead even before we think. But, is true? Is this destiny of what we really want? Who wants to die in nothing? Without a good quality of life? Without hope and dreams?
Surely, only with good quality of environment and nature people can able to achieve their quality of life. Nature must be considered as the first interest above all. Nurturing and protecting better environment then is the major priority. Without it, people get hurt. People suffer of disaster. Instead of busy living, in disaster people do busy dying. No hopes, not even a dream.
This is resolution: self-consciousness and self-awareness of nature and environment. Makes friend with both of them, or else, we'll be damn. ("Saswaloka"/Fim Anugrah)
